As Sonar’s flagship brand, SonarQube represents the company’s core mission: improving the quality and security of all code while delivering an improved developer experience. These changes are exclusive to Sonar’s branding – all products will retain the same powerful features but now under one brand name.
The new product naming consists of:
- SonarQube Server (formerly known as SonarQube)
- SonarQube Cloud (formerly known as SonarCloud)
- SonarQube for IDE (formerly known as SonarLint)
- SonarQube Community Build (formerly known as SonarQube Community Edition)
The new product naming is intended to simplify Sonar’s brand experience and improve consistency. It has long been Sonar’s vision to deliver the same brand experience for its customers, regardless of whether or not they are using the self-managed or cloud solution. Sonar’s product offering will remain the same, providing powerful solutions that over 7 million developers worldwide rely on, analyzing over 750 billion lines of code daily.
